Blessings in a Book Bag Inc. wants to ensure that impoverished elementary school children and families in need are fed on the weekends throughout the school year and during the summer.
Our Vision
Better test scores, imporved reading skills, positive behavior, imporved health and increased attendance have all been attributed to the success of this program.

The Annual MLK 5K/10K is more than a race—it’s a community tradition rooted in service, unity, and action. This year, we proudly celebrate the 15th anniversary of this meaningful event, bringing runners, walkers, families, and supporters together to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through service to others.
Pack Attack
Pack Attack is a high-energy, hands-on volunteer program that brings our community together to fight food insecurity—one bag at a time. During each Pack Attack event, volunteers gather to pack meal bags filled with essential groceries for families in need.
These events are fast-paced, impactful, and deeply rewarding. In just one hour, volunteers help prepare food bags that provide families with nourishment, dignity, and peace of mind.
Hype University
HYPE University is an educational empowerment program designed to support low-income individuals and families with practical, real-world knowledge that leads to long-term financial stability and personal growth. Our mission is simple: remove barriers, build confidence, and equip participants with the tools they need to move forward.
This program focuses on education that creates real change, not theory—because knowledge is most powerful when it can be applied immediately.
